External First Aid Courses

If you wish an external First Aid course to be added to your GO record, please ensure it was face to face, not e-learning, lasting at least 6 hours, it included both child and adult CPR, it covered all First Aid clauses in the Girlguiding syllabus and all Girlguiding specific clauses, which you may need to discuss with your mentor, district commissioner or a Girlguiding trainer and email county office with the certificate and signed syllabus checklist

Recognising Prior Safeguarding Learning and Experience

It is possible to recognise prior learning and experience for exemption from A Safe Space, Level 3 face-to-face training.  Please complete and return this form to county office with any supporting documents which will then be forwarded to region to complete necessary checks.

Challenge Badges

*NEW* It’s Christmas Challenge Badge

It’s Christmas! challenge badge is a fun badge which can be completed at face-to-face or virtual meetings. It is full of useful links to the guiding programme. The pack was designed by Lisa and Kathryn (leaders at 1st Baldock Brownies) and the badge was designed by one of their Brownies. Lisa and Kathryn are walking the Great Wall of China with Girlguiding in October 2021. This is one of the fantastic opportunities available to adult Guiders and all profits raised will be going towards fundraising for this adventure.

The Herts Guides Walking Team have released a special version of the Herts Walking 100 Challenge, suitable to be carried out with social distancing in mind. The challenge is to walk 100km and there are lots of activity ideas to make it more fun.
