Lone Volunteering Policy

Many volunteers already make decisions and additional provision for their personal safety as a matter of course. The introduction of the lone volunteering policy will help reinforce and support those decisions and will help volunteers to give further attention to keeping themselves and those they support safe. It will also help volunteers to challenge any situations where they might feel uncomfortable carrying out a task on their own. It does not apply to volunteering activities carried out in volunteers' own home.  The lone volunteering procedures support the policy.

Verity Maclachlan was recently presented with a Laurel award via a Zoom presentation. Anglia Youth Award Congratulations – Perdita

Laurel Award Congratulations – Verity Maclachlan

01/10/20

We are delighted to announce that Verity Maclachlan has been awarded a Laurel. Verity has been involved in Girlguiding and Girl Scouts for many years and has committed over 24 years to 1st Radlett Guides and Radlett district. We are also very fortunate to have her on the county team. As a trained nurse, she has used her skills and training qualification to teach hundreds of leaders and girls First Response and Heartstart courses. Introducing the Youth Opportunities Team

This is advance notice that the subscription for members of Girlguiding Hertfordshire for 2020 will be £35.00 (i.e. £16 HQ, £10 Anglia and £9 Hertfordshire). A Safe Space Training in Girlguiding Hertfordshire

Girlguiding launched the updated the ‘A Safe Space’ training in September 2017 to help create an environment where girls can be safe and have fun.
