Company volunteer working parties
Gaddesden Row Guide Centre in Hemel Hempstead was delighted to welcome a team of volunteers from Haven Holidays, a local company, for a corporate volunteer day in September.
The team were absolutely fantastic and threw themselves straight into the jobs around the site. They worked incredibly hard and needed very little direction, clearing large areas of brambles and overgrowth, barrowing soil across the site to fill holes and uneven areas in the camping field, and tackling lots of other jobs that make a real difference to the upkeep of the centre.
We’re incredibly grateful for everything they achieved in just 1 day. As a volunteer-run centre, days like this are a huge help and allow us to get through jobs that would otherwise take our small team considerably longer.
A massive thank you to everyone who came along and gave their time and energy to help improve Gaddesden Row Guide Centre for all the young people who use it.
