Peak Assault

Peak Assault is back!

An exciting annual navigation competition for teams of young people, with the location traditionally kept a secret (previously taking place in upland areas including the Peak District, the Lake District, North Wales, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Brecon Beacons).

Taking place over the weekend of Friday 16 - Sunday 18 October, teams must navigate to check points around a course, collecting as many points as possible in a set timeframe on the Saturday and Sunday morning, camping overnight.

Peak Assault has been taking place almost every year since 1968.

Run by Hertfordshire Scouts, Rangers, young leaders and adults with prior experience (ideally those that have already attended Mountain Experience or completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award) can take part.

Please get in touch with the county walking team on [email protected] to discuss your girls’ abilities before registering officially.

More information about this exciting event, including the link to the booking portal, can be found on the Peak Assault website: https://www.14-25.hertfordshirescouts.org.uk/peak-assault-2026
