4 steps to recruitment success

Join us on Sunday 22 November at Hill Dyke Community Centre, 17 Hill Dyke Road, Wheathampstead, St Albans, AL4 8TU and learn Girlguiding’s 4 practical steps to give you the skills and confidence to recruit and welcome new volunteers and support girl recruitment in your area.

During the course of the day you’ll receive practical tools, including Our Plan data, that will help you with recruitment in your local area.

This day is open to commissioners (all levels), division/district administrators, county/division membership growth coordinators, communications and PR advisers and any volunteer with an interest in growing guiding.

Outline for the day

• 9.30am - 9.45am: Arrival
• 9.45am - 10am: Welcome and introduction
• 10am - 10.45am: Session 1: Identify the gaps
• 10.45am - 11am: Break
• 11am - 12.45pm: Session 2: Recruitment drive
• 12.45pm - 1.30pm: Lunch
• 1.30pm - 2pm: Session 3: Involve parents/carers
• 2pm - 3pm: Session 4a: Warm welcome part 1
• 3pm - 3.15pm: Break
• 3.15pm - 4.15pm: Session 4b: Warm welcome part 2
• 4.15pm - 4.30pm: Thanks

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day but please bring your own packed lunch. IMPORTANT: no nuts or foods containing nuts should be brought to the training.
