Hertfordshire County Commissioner

25th February 19 by County Office

Hello everyone,

The time has come to find a new County Commissioner as Sue Beswick and her team step down from their roles in September 2019. The County Commissioner is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role, leading the county as it continues to develop and grow. As County Commissioner you are both an internal and an external ‘figurehead’ for Guiding in your area. You need to have a good knowledge of Guiding, be able to communicate effectively, be able to enthuse others, take responsibility for difficult decisions when necessary and appropriate, be approachable, enjoy working with adults and value people and have a sense of humour.

The County Commissioner role is very much about team work; building a team to enable the role to be shared across several people, therefore meaning you will always have support available. The role can also be shared with another.

As a County Commissioner you are very much part of a wider team, receiving support for the Region Chiefs Team, other County Commissioners and our Region Office. Please do get in touch if you would like to know more.

Are you interested in this role or know someone you would like to nominate for the role?  Please discuss this with your fellow leaders and if you are interested and wish to put yourself or someone else forward, complete this application/nomination form and return it to:

Tracy Foster, Region Chief Commissioner,

email angliachief@girlguiding-anglia.org.uk or post to Girlguiding Anglia Region Office, 7 Great Hautbois Road, Coltishall, Norwich, NR12 7JN

Please return the application/nomination form by 31st March 2019.
