Intermediate Mountaineering Course (IMC)
From 6pm – 6pm
This is a one week course run by the Hertfordshire Scouts Mountaineering Section at Lochearnhead Scout Station, Scotland.
It is for Girlguiding members aged 13 and over, including Adults, (Adult trainees in a separate patrol).
No prior hill walking experience is required but some map reading and basic navigation skills would be preferable as well as a reasonable level of fitness.
The course will cover planning/safety, navigation and 2 nights wild country camping. Snow permitting we will practise the use of ice axes too.
